How it works

A quote is stronger when the story travels with it.

Lines move fast. Credit doesn't. We give you a place to put your wording on the record before it leaves the room — with the date, the moment, and the receipt.

01

Check the line

We hash it, normalize it, and put it next to every line we already know about. If it's been said, you'll see it.

02

Tell the story

Where you said it. When. Why. A line without a story is just floating text. The story is what makes it yours.

03

Review the claim

Original-claim records get a human pass before they go canonical. We keep the registry honest by reading every one.

04

Share the page

You get a permanent link. Cite it, share it, link your bio to it. If someone challenges you later, the receipt is there.

Collision policy

Two people sometimes register the same line within minutes of each other — neither knows about the other's submission. We don't pick a winner.

  • Hash-equal within 60 minutes: the later record is flagged as a possible prior source and links to the earlier one. Both records remain public.
  • Near-match (≥ 0.97 similarity):blocked during scanning before checkout. The user sees the existing record and can't register an original claim on a near-duplicate.
  • Older-source reports:any reader can file one on any record. We don't silently delete; corrections happen in public.

What we don't claim

No copyright. No trademark. No legal ownership of any phrase. A registered record is proof of when you put your wording on the record— not proof of who said it first across all of human history. The collision policy and older-source reports exist precisely because we know we can't see everything.
